RN Infection Prevention Coordinator

The RN Infection Prevention (IP) Coordinator is a registered professional nurse who functions under the direction of the Infection Prevention Manager. Responsibilities include hospital surveillance activities, public reporting, education of patients and team members. The RN Infection Prevention Coordinator provides mentoring of the Infection Preventionist. 


Required Minimum Education:  Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)


Required Minimum Licensure:  Current licensure as a registered professional nurse in the State of Georgia and Certification in Infection Control (CIC)


Required Minimum Experience:  One year experience in infection prevention practice is required. Coordination of an Infection Prevention program is preferred.


Required Minimum Skills:  Strong verbal and written communication.  Teamwork and relationship building.
