Your Responsibilities

  • Learn new technology, document processes, and teach others
  • Produce instructional materials in support of Channel IT software applications
  • Develop and maintain training materials to include instructor/student guides, help sites, distance learning classes, videos, and web-based training modules
  • Evaluate and improve training materials

What It Takes

  • Participate in the design and development of training and performance support materials
  • Apply techniques and processes to ensure performance gaps are addressed
  • Assist in marketing efforts of performance improvement materials to their intended audiences
  • Effectively deliver training programs for Channel applications/initiatives
  • Identify and implement new technology-based training solutions
  • Produce and edit video-based content
  • Produce and edit web-based training
  • Pursuing a four-year degree in an Information Technology and or an Instructional Design degree program
  • Must be registered as a full-time student at a local university
  • Must be able to commute to the work location on a daily basis
  • Graduation date of December 2019 or later  
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
  • 16 - 20 hours/week during the academic year
  • 35 - 40 hours/week during the summer semester

A strong candidate will also have

  • Excellent communication, problem solving and team skills
  • Demonstrated ability to self-motivate and stay organized
  • Experience working with John Deere dealers
  • Experience learning new training development software applications and teaching them to others
  • Experience writing or updating HTML code
  • Experience using Adobe Dreamweaver, Premier, After Effects, and Captivate
  • Synchronous and or asynchronous training experience
