Overview
ECG Engineering are leaders in the Electrical Engineering space, delivering design and project delivery services to the Mining, Utilities, Materials Handling and Industrial sectors with extensive and proven capabilities in Australia, and around the world. ECG has offices in Perth, Brisbane, Toronto, Manila & Dar Es Salaam and Tanzania, and the capability to design and deliver on complex projects, from early study work to commissioning and handover, drawing on the expertise of senior ECG personnel who have worked together for 30+ years. We require a Lead Power Systems Engineer to join our Perth based Power Systems team and take a leadership role creating and driving design, reports, studies and analysis to our diverse loyal clientele across resources and renewable energy.
Applicants should have strong skills and experience in the following areas:
Responsibilities
- Undertake power system analysis for clients
- Design power systems for the mining and power generation industries
- Preparation and evaluation of tenders
- Use power systems modelling packages such as DigSilent (PowerFactory) and ETAP
Qualifications
- Analysis and design of HV power systems including design of powerlines and substations
- Specialized network analysis and performance standard studies experience
- Solid electrical engineering experience that also includes knowledge of electrical, instrumentation and controls applications
- Experience working on both greenfield and brownfield projects
- Degree level electrical engineering qualifications, with specialized power engineering qualifications well regarded
- An ability to self-manage while working in a variety of team / project delivery scenarios
- The ability to travel with project requirements
