Responsibilities

About the Role
As a Speechie in our team you will help participants from age 6 to 65, across language, mealtimes, dysphagia, aphasia and AAC.

Program Support
We back you every step of the way. Our program starts with a full week of graduate-specific induction sessions, including an introduction to community practice, the NDIS and life at Better Rehab.
- Support: Colleagues who support you, including a buddy from last year’s graduate cohort.
- Supervision: 1:1 supervision to help you navigate all areas of working with Better Rehab and your caseload.
- Ongoing Training: 6 months of dedicated induction, training and upskilling.
- Study Leave: 4 full days paid study leave per calendar year.
- Resources: Laptop, phone and readily available therapy and assessment resources.

About You
We’re after Speechies with a genuine interest in supporting participants with disability who seek improvement and speak up about it. You should have a passion for participant care and treat goals as personal missions.
- Tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology with a graduation date in 2025 or January 2026.
- A valid driver’s license and personal vehicle.
- An NDIS check, a Working with Children Check, and a Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
