Med/Surg RN Job Details

• Unit: Neurotrauma, 7th Floor (South and Tower)
  
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing, Seasonal Contract
  
• Start Date: December 22, 2025
  
• End Date: March 23, 2026
  
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
  
• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour night shifts)
  
• Hours per Week: 36
  
• Openings: 4 Med/Surg RN positions
  
• Setting: 38-bed Neurotrauma Medical-Surgical Unit
  
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,470 - $1,570 per week
  

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active and unencumbered RN license (Colorado or compact state)
  
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience (neurotrauma or neuro nursing experience preferred)
  
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
  
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
  
• ACLS certification preferred
  
• Strong clinical skills in critical thinking, multitasking, and teamwork
  
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a fast-paced healthcare setting
  

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to neurotrauma patients in a 38-bed Med/Surg unit
  
• Perform comprehensive neuro and stroke assessments, fall risk assessments, tracheostomy care, and manage feeding tubes
  
• Operate and monitor medical equipment including IV pumps, seizure monitoring devices, BiPAP/CPAP, and glucometers
  
• Document patient care and interventions using Meditech EMR
  
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes
  
• Participate in patient experience initiatives and adhere to neurotrauma clinical practice guidelines
  
• Maintain a positive, energetic, and flexible attitude while supporting your nursing team
