Registered Nurse - Mental Health (Ward 3C)

Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with patients, families, and staff from diverse backgrounds and cultures
- Provide exceptional customer service and person-centred and evidence-based care
- Provide supervision and preceptorship to Enrolled Nurses, Graduates and Students and AINs/PSAs
- Work effectively within scope of practice and demonstrate clinical competencies
- Provide comprehensive patient assessment, care planning, implementation and evaluation of outcomes, including recognition and timely response to patient deterioration
- Work as a valued member of an inter-disciplinary team, manage own work time and personal well-being
Essential Criteria
- Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent
- Current registration as a Nurse with AHPRA
About Northern Beaches Hospital
Northern Beaches Hospital offers Level 5 delineation services catering to both public and private patients. With 488 beds, a 50-bed Emergency Department, a 20-bed general and cardiothoracic ICU, 14 theatres including cardiac catheter labs, a education centre, staff facilities, café and parking. The mental health service comprises 63 beds across four units: a 20-bed acute care unit, a 6-bed short-stay unit, a 15-bed older persons unit, and a 22-bed private ward.

Salary information: up to $49.79 per hour, based on years of relevant nursing experience and the Healthscope/NSWNMA ANMF Enterprise Agreement 2020–2024.
