Overview
Littlewoods Services is a boutique-sized firm providing dedicated professional services and advisory to the insurance industry. Our clients range from reinsurers, insurers, underwriting agencies and coverholders. We focus on providing structural, regulatory, licensing, financial and support services to institutions regulated by APRA and ASIC. The role of Financial Accountant is to join a close-knit organisation that fosters a collaborative and supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintenance of general ledgers across different entities
- Booking of various journal entries, including accruals and prepayments
- Preparation of balance sheet and profit and loss reconciliations
- Manage the settlement of various expenses, tax obligations and intercompany balances
- Processing monthly payroll and superannuation payments
- Preparation of monthly management reports
- Weekly / monthly bank reconciliations across multiple entities
- Fixed asset register maintenance
- Assist in the preparation of Financial Statements including Balance Sheets, Income Statements and Cashflow as well as general ledger management
- Participate / support the external / internal audit processes and requirements
- Establish collaborative working relationships with other finance team members, the wider team, and external stakeholders
Qualifications / Personal Attributes
- 2 - 4 years minimum accounting experience
- Working towards CA or CPA qualification
- Experience working within insurance industry will be highly advantageous
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Attention to detail and high accuracy in processing
- Proven technical accounting knowledge
- Ability to manage and meet deadlines
- Motivated and self driven
- Client centric attitude
- Professional and mature approach in all interactions
- Team player
Position Details
- Position Type: Full Time (4 days in the office/Friday WFH)
- Salary Range: Negotiable based on experience
