As Sales Applications Manager, you are an ambassador of Waters and will bring to the market Waters’ products and services. You will understand the customer’s business and growth plans, and translate that knowledge into Waters solutions to achieve customer success.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Applications Support chemists, guaranteeing successful demonstrations, training courses for customers, technical product presentations and applications support
- Present Waters LC-MS products and applications to customers and at marketing events for segments such as Pharma, Biopharma, BMR, and Food & Environmental
- Support account managers in sales of Mass Spectrometry instruments with responsibility for the ANZ overall MS budget
- Prepare business and territory plans to find new customers and create new sales opportunities
- Plan and execute customer pre-sales demonstrations and post-sales applications training
- Manage the Sydney demonstration laboratory
- Support the sales team for MS system configurations
- Collaborate with Business partners and Field Sales operations to provide credible and impartial consultancy and technical sponsorship in a fast-paced pre- and post-sales environment
- Work with Account Managers to diagnose customer requirements and design analyses that showcase Waters capabilities aligned with customer goals
- Perform instrument demonstrations and provide expert advice during the sales process on Waters system solutions
- Ensure equipment, analyses and demonstrations are prepared to guarantee a high level of customer experience
- Provide system and application training and technical sponsorship after product installation
- Conduct internal Waters Solutions Training to Field Sales Operations
Qualifications
Education:
Masters Degree, or PhD in a scientific area such as chemistry, biology, or biochemistry
Experience:
7+ years user experience with UPLC, Mass Spec and analytical instruments; 3+ years of experience in selling and applications knowledge on Mass Spectrometry
Skills:
Experience in People Management; action oriented with strong results focus; clear communication and presentation skills; highly organized; strong listener; positive attitude; adaptable to a dynamic environment; strong technical background in analytical technologies, especially LC and MS
