Equipment Specialist

Following an internal promotion, Hastings Deering is looking for an **Equipment Specialist** to join our team in **Mackay**. This is a *permanent, full-time* opportunity, working Monday to Friday.In this role, you will act as the key connection between our customers and Hastings Deering, with a strong focus on Electric Rope Shovel and Dragline product health and performance to maximise satisfaction and minimise downtime. You will deliver trusted technical support, collaborate with Caterpillar and internal teams, and play an active role in driving growth across parts and service. **Key Responsibilities** 5+ years’ experience in a customer-facing technical role Proven ability to build and maintain customer relationshipsStrong problem-solving skills, initiative and agility in dynamic environmentsSolid parts product knowledge and familiarity with Caterpillar fleets Health and wellbeing programs, including EAP, free health checks, and discounted private health insurance.
