Hawkesbury High School is a comprehensive, co-educational high school located in the Hawkesbury District, Northwest Metropolitan Sydney. The school has 470 students in Years 7–12, including 11% Aboriginal students. Specific Selection Criteria

  • Approval to teach Food Technology.
  • Demonstrated ability to use effective classroom management skills and wellbeing practices to create a classroom environment that is engaging and fosters a culture of high expectations.
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work as a collaborative member of the TAS faculty in contributing towards school and faculty priorities.
  • Commitment to creating a classroom that is inclusive to a diverse range of students, including the cultural and educational needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.

Conditions

Recruitment Bonus: $20,000 (conditions apply). Bonus paid pro rata for permanent part-time staff. Maximum recruitment bonus for a position is $20,000, including any job-share arrangements.

Relocation Support: $5,000 to $8,000 for eligible applicants.

An unconditional full approval to teach is required. If you do not hold full approval to teach with NSW Department of Education, commence the application process concurrently.

Applicants seeking either permanent full-time or permanent part-time employment may apply. If the recommended applicant seeks part-time work (FTE 0.1 to 0.9), appointment will be offered at the desired FTE. Applicants on the eligibility list will be offered the remaining FTE but are not obliged to accept. WWCC clearance number should be included in the application.
