Overview
Join to apply for the Trauma/Critical Incidents - Psychologists and Social Workers in Perth role at Converge. Seeking committed trauma management specialists who can support a diverse range of clients.
Responsibilities
- Provide Critical Incident Response Services (including emergency response, critical incidents, planned support services, disaster response and incident support forums) using Psychological First Aid, stepped care and referral pathways to support Converge International’s customers.
- Inform organisations of themes, recommendations, or any internal (customer) process improvements.
- Delivery of Employee Counselling and Training and Consulting Services may be included.
- Provide one-on-one trauma support and group sessions using Psychological First Aid and other trauma-specific interventions to support individuals and their organisations.
About You
- Experience in providing psychosocial interventions, support and counselling.
- Relevant experience and minimum 3 years trauma management and/or relevant consultancy services
- Demonstrated ability to assess workplace issues, identify suitable intervention programs and provide solution-focused advice to achieve agreed outcomes
- Have a passion to help people and enjoy working flexibly in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management skills, report writing skills and your willingness to demonstrate a ‘can do’ attitude
- Demonstrated ability and experience in delivering People Assist services (EAP, RRS).
- High level negotiation and facilitation skills
- Work collaboratively with all stakeholders
3-5 years of relevant experience as a psychologist or social worker is desirable and you will have training in Psychological First Aid. A tertiary qualification in Behavioural Sciences and registration with the appropriate professional body is required. A current driver’s licence and your own vehicle is a must.
