Description

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS Data Centers, including servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment, ensuring our customers have continual access to innovation. We work on challenging problems with many variables impacting the supply chain, and we seek talented individuals who want to contribute.

The Infrastructure Operations (Data Center) team is the backbone of AWS, supporting the rapidly growing AWS business and customers 24/7. We are committed to maintaining the physical infrastructure of AWS, ensuring safety, security, availability, productivity, capacity, efficiency, and cost standards.

The Data Center Engineering Operations Trainee will be responsible for Data Center Engineering Operations within an Amazon Data Center, including risk management, corrective and preventative maintenance of critical infrastructure, vendor management, and metric reporting.

We are looking for individuals with little to no experience, who are result-driven, possess technical understanding (electrical/mechanical), and have the drive and passion to learn data center engineering operations. The role reports to the DCEO Manager and focuses on sustaining availability, cost management, risk assessment, mitigation, and reviewing maintenance of critical infrastructure and metric reporting.

You will collaborate with software, hardware, network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other teams.
