This role is for a mid-market Account Executive in Zeller’s Sales team, focusing on building relationships with Australian SMEs, solving their business banking needs, and positioning Zeller as the best solution to support their cash flow.
Responsibilities
- Prospect to small, medium and large-sized businesses through outbound lead generation, door-to-door prospecting, cold calling, email outreach, referrals, and an expanding inbound pipeline.
- Understand business owner pain points and tailor Zeller solutions to exceed expectations.
- Meticulously manage leads and deals pipeline within the HubSpot Sales Hub with strong hygiene and attention to detail.
- Own the full sales cycle from planning, qualifying, due diligence, and closing to achieve and exceed individual targets.
- Translate complex merchant banking requirements into clear, simple solutions.
- Deliver compelling introductions for Zeller’s merchants using storytelling, case studies, pitch decks, and industry updates.
- Develop commercially sound deals across various use cases, verticals, and complex economics.
- Stay up-to-date with SME, technology, fintech, payments, and industry trends relevant to your merchants.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Product and Operations to relay customer feedback.
Qualifications And Experience
- 2–3 years of outbound + closing sales experience with a proven track record of exceeding targets.
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to manage and grow both pipeline and revenue.
- Proven prospecting, opportunity qualification, value-based demonstrations, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage a high volume of tasks and deadlines.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently or remotely.
- Competitive drive and a desire to win.
- Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative work style.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Experience with HubSpot or similar CRM, Google Workspace, and Microsoft 365.
- Tertiary education or proven relevant experience.
Bonus Points
- Experience in SaaS, fintech, or scale-up B2B sales.
- Established relationships with SME business owners and decision makers.
Compensation
- $85,000 + Commission + Equity
