Functional Overview

Responsible for writing clear and concise copy to inform and engage target audiences across a wide range of marketing communications for KitchenAid Major Appliances.  


Role Description: 

  • Working from creative briefs, the copywriter teams with designers to develop and execute creative concepts
  • Develops broad marketing messages that can be conveyed across a variety of marketing channels
  • Understands KitchenAid brand style and maintains tight quality control over all the pieces he/she creates
  • Writes in consistent brand voice that supports brand positioning
  • Maintains product knowledge and understands needs of internal business partners
  • Applies knowledge of industry and marketing communications trends and incorporates new ideas into department’s process and procedures.
  • Serves as a mentor for freelance copywriters 


Basic Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Creative Writing or Communications with a concentration in advertising or marketing
  • Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in marketing communications or advertising agency environment


 Preferred Requirements: 

  • A portfolio that showcases a breadth of writing across short and long form copy 
  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, business partnering, and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
