Planning Analyst Job

 

 

Job Summary

This position is primarily responsible for managing working material inventory and production scheduling for the NA Assembly Centers located in Edgewood, MD; LaPorte, TX; and DuPont, WA.  Primary responsibilities include coordination of weekly build schedules, managing inventory accuracy, coordinating material escalation needs, and coordinating outbound logistics of finished products. The Planning Analyst will lead the material planning and buying efforts for select suppliers to support the sites. In addition the Analyst will work closely with Assembly Center Managers and the Operations Planning Manager to ensure accuracy and consistency of schedules are maintained. Other duties will include data analysis and report creation to support day-to-day business and monthly performance plus lead monthly inventory reconciliation.


Job Function and Responsibilities

· Maintaining accurate working inventory quantities and location control.

· Manage and maintain system data on planned inventory and order discrepancies.

· Performance tracking of key material and escalation of receipt issues.

· Daily and monthly report generation to monitor and track site performance.

· Monthly coordination of local invoices and accounts payable.

· Point of contact for other AGCO function to address questions regarding build status and/or material availability.

· Lead coordination and communication with logistics providers for inbound and outbound material.

· Lead production material planning efforts for local suppliers as well as select suppliers that provide production material for all sites.  Function to include planning, PO placement, invoice approvals, and supplier performance tracking.

 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS


Education

· 4 yr degree and/or equivalent relevant experience in Operations, Supply Chain, and/or Industrial Management

 

Qualifications and Experience

· Experience in the fields of distribution, warehousing, transportation, and/or light assembly/manufacturing operations is required, 2-5 years is preferred.

· Previous positions which required organization and management of information from multiple sources.

· Proven experience in working with multiple functions and disciplines.

· Relevant experience within agricultural or similar equipment assembly is preferred.

· Problem solving and resolution management skills

 

Travel Required

· The position may require overnight travel of 5-10%
