What you can expect:

Position Summary:  As part of the HUGO BOSS Store Planning and Construction team, this position will assist with invoice processing, vendor payment, and budgeting of all capital expenditures. Additionally, this position will help establish benchmarks for future capital expenditures.  Finally, this candidate will assist with profitability calculations for new store opening, renovations and closings.  This role has a multi-disciplinary interface with Construction, Finance, Real Estate, Visual, and Legal teams in the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Process all capital expenditure invoices for the Hugo Boss organization
  • Ensure sales and use tax procedures are followed for goods purchased outside of the country, or goods purchased without tax
  • Collect tax exempt certificates from associated vendors
  • Partner with the Accounts Payable department to ensure vendors are paid in a timely fashion
  • Collect vendor financial information as necessary (W4s, routing information)
  • Maintain budgets for all construction projects consisting of initial quotes, invoices to date, and payments made to all vendors
  • Manage all internal orders and cost centers for approved projects
  • Create benchmarks for all direct purchases to ensure our organization is receiving the best prices from our vendors
  • Assist the purchasing team with ongoing shop construction tenders
  • Coordinate with General Contractors to close out projects, ensuring lien waivers are received
  • Collect tenant improvement contributions from landlords, where applicable
  • Assist the Tax department with any potential audits by researching invoice histories for affected projects
  • Partner with the Director of Store Planning as well as FP&A team for quarterly budget cycles
  • Create Profitability Calculations for new store openings, renovations, and closings in close partnership with Real Estate and FP&A

 

Your profile:

Qualifications:

 

  • BS/BA in Finance or Accounting
  • 1-2 years of professional accounting experience required. Retail or commercial industry strongly preferred
  • Excellent Excel skills required, AO knowledge preferred
  • Sales & Use tax knowledge preferred
  • SAP knowledge preferred
  • Project management software experience is a plus
  • Experience managing external consultants
  • Ability to execute multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Organizational skills; attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Strong problem-solving and decision making skills
