Our client is a fast growing IT Solutions business looking for a Business Development Manager who will be responsible for capturing new clients and nurturing and growing existing relationships.
Responsibilities
- Acquire new education clients for hardware and IT solutions.
- Maintain strong market knowledge to identify business opportunities and viable income streams.
- Manage and retain relationships with existing clients.
- Understand in-depth business products and value propositions.
- Write business proposals, respond to tenders, and negotiate with stakeholders.
- Arrange and conduct business meetings with prospective clients.
- Develop growth strategies and plans focusing on customer satisfaction.
- Design IT solutions to meet specific customer requirements, including cloud and mobile device management.
- Prepare quotes and proposals, and manage sales pipelines.
Performance Measures
- Achievement of sales targets by product and market segment.
- Customer visits and satisfaction ratings (Net Promoter Score).
- Accuracy and timeliness of CRM entries.
Skills and Experience Required
- Proven experience in sales as a BDM or account manager
- Experience in selling into Education or Government will be highly regarded
- Strong understanding of IT products and the ability to create customer-specific solutions.
- Experience in high-level negotiations and sales of IT solutions such as VMWare, Microsoft cloud services, and MDM.
- Excellent communication, customer support, time management, and planning skills.
- Ability to manage conflicts constructively and motivate teams.
- Track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
