    Qualifications
    GS-04:
    6 Months of general experience and 6 months of specialized experience OR 2 years above high school with courses related to forestry, agriculture, crop or plant science, range management or conservation, wildlife management, watershed management, soil science, natural science, natural resources (except marine fisheries and oceanography), outdoor recreation management, civil or forest engineering or wildland fire science. No more than 3 semester hours in mathematics is creditable.
    General Experience: (1) Any type of work that demonstrates the applicant's ability to perform the work of the position, or (2) experience that provided familiarity with the subject matter or processes of the broad subject area of the occupation. Can be evidenced by farming or ranching work that involved application of cultural, soil and water conservation practices, including safety and use of equipment, and that provided a basic understanding of land use; or forest or range fire control, prevent on, or suppression work.
    Specialized Experience:
    Examples of specialized experience includes, but is not limited to; having a working knowledge of fire suppression, practices and terminology. Working in a fire cashe maintaining and distributing equipment and tools, keeping inventory controls and preparing purchase order requisitions for processing.

    Selective Factors:
    The applicant must have possessed all of the following National Wildfire Coordinating Group (NWCG) incident management qualifications and training requirements to be considered eligible for this position:
    L-180 Human factors in the wildland fire service, S-130 FireFighter Training, S-190 Introduction to Wildland Fire Behavior, RT-130 Annual Fireline Safety Refresher, ICS-100 (FEMA) Introduction to Incident Command System, IS-700 (FEMA) National Incident Management System (NIMS) an introduction.

    Selectees for IFPM positions requiring currency will be required to obtain and maintain currency for the NWCG qualifications listed above.
