The Process Tech performs and documents the daily manufacturing operations in a plant setting. The Process Tech operates process equipment “on-the-floor,” in a sterile or clean-room environment and works closely with engineering and production support teams.

  • Sets up and maintains production of injection molding machines, tooling, and processes.
  • Enhances the technical development of the processes in the Injection Molding department.
  • Performs preventative maintenance/repair on machines, injection molding screw assemblies, molds, and chiller.
  • Collaborates with engineering to enhance and debug processes, tooling, and new products.
  • Completes mold verification, sample process development, mold changes, and set-ups.
  • Drives process improvements, i.e. set-up time reduction, scrap reduction, and increased throughputs.
  • Performs process troubleshooting on injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
  • Process observation, development, and documentation.
  • Works closely with, and communicates with, all other production and support teams.
  • Responsible for start-up, process verification, troubleshooting and root cause analysis of any issues related to injection molding processes or the associated equipment.
  • Documents and communicates with other Process Technicians, Process Engineers and Shift Supervisor results of problem solving and any deviations from established methods or procedures that may be necessary to resolve specific issues.
  • Supports Process Engineers in development of process parameters and process improvements.
  • Assists the Production Supervisors in training of the associates for line operation and monitoring what the associates will be required to complete as part of the process controls.
  • Works safely and maintains a safe, organized and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Works effectively and collaboratively with others.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as needed.


  • High School diploma
  • 5+ years’ experience
  • Knowledge and application of scientific molding principals
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well alone and as a member of a team
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to frequently changing priorities, and work environment
  • Positive attitude and open mind to continuous improvement
  • Ability to identify and communicate ideas and concerns that will improve cost and quality
  • Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced production environment
  • Must be self-motivated and organized
  • Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, and other general computer programs
  • Able to work overtime, holidays and weekends, as needed


  • Bachelor’s degree or certification from a technical school
  • Scientific Molding Certification
  • Experience with horizontal and vertical injection molding equipment
  • Experience with Robotic part removal
