    Help Duties Summary

    Fort Stewart Schools are attended by dependent children in grades Pre-Kindergarten through 6th grade who reside on federal property in the vicinity of Hinesville, Georgia. There are three schools at Fort Stewart. They are; Diamond Elementary School, Murray Elementary School and Kessler Elementary School.

    This position is located at Fort Stewart DODEA School Cafeteria.

    Employee will be on a non-pay status approximately 10 weeks during the summer and 2 weeks in December.

    Must be available to work 6:00 am to 2:30 pm

    Responsibilities

    Independently performs the full range of cash management duties to include clerical work in the receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit and safeguarding of cash and checks. Ensures that all monies are accounted for, reconciling any
    discrepancies, preparing bank deposits and balancing retained cash funds.

    Maintains current dishonored check listing, conducts follow-up investigations, collects dishonored check payments; prepares cashier's reports and notifies supervisor of any suspected irregularities.

    All required background checks of AR 215-3 and the Crime Control Act must be successfully completed and maintained including CNACI.

    Progressively responsible clerical or office work of any kind that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of this position. The ability to work accurately with figures is also required.

    Highly Qualified Criteria are those who have experience processing free and reduce lunch applications or can run a point of sales and make daily deposits. A Minimum of 1 year experience of customer service experience.

    Highly Qualified Criteria will be referred first.
