WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

People who understand the role nutrition takes in health care and healing are becoming more and more necessary. Patient nutrition assessments and care plans need to be developed by knowledgeable clinical dieticians. Dieticians who can also communicate those plans to the care team and educate the patient and family about them. There’s no doubt that clinical dieticians are a key team member in the health care offered at Franciscan Health – a place where we believe that faith is part of everyone’s healing.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Provide evidence based nutrition education to inpatients and outpatients.
  • Update and maintain accurate patient care records.
  • Communicate appropriate nutrition information to physicians, nurses, and other members of the patient care team.
  • Review and recommend appropriate nutrition resources, programs or services to patients and other members of the patient care team.
  • Serve as a nutrition resource in the community and for employees through presentations, health fairs or committee participation.
  • Assist with coverage for inpatient dietitians as needed by providing nutrition care to patients including review of nutirtion screening, completion of nutrition assessment, and development and implementation of nutrition care plans.
