Function Overview

We are currently seeking a Project Manager, Information Systems - Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) to join Global Information Systems (GIS) team at our global headquarters in the beautiful lakeside community of St. Joseph/ Benton Harbor, MI - home to some of the top schools in the state and nestled alongside picturesque Lake Michigan.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Accountable to support ALM capabilities for the projects within the Global Product Organization (GPO)
  • Provide varying types of support for IBM Rational/ Jazz tools consisting of Rational Team Concert, Rational Quality Manager, Doors NextGen
  • Interact with business partners to understand business process and ALM needs across GPO functional teams
  • Work closely with GIS and other business functions for alignment of project scope and priorities
  • Drive priorities and business value creation as part of the transformational projects and initiatives
  • Partner with technical teams to deliver solutions aligned with Whirlpool Enterprise ALM strategy
  • Be a trusted partner and subject matter expert for ALM capabilities needed in GPO
  • Evaluate short-term and long-term solutions, ALM support needs and engage in continuous improvements
  • Ability to coach and educate team members and business partners on ALM concepts
  • The configuration of tools and systems administration duties in a virtual environment
  • Administering Requirements/ Testing and Continuous Integration processes
  • Process/ workflow analysis, tool configuration, customization, maintenance and support activities
  • Support training documentation and to conduct training sessions
  • Some domestic and international travel will be required

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering  or related fields
  • 5+ years of experience working in Product development area along with major ALM tools
  • In-depth knowledge of the Agile development process and software development lifecycles
  • Ability to effectively communicate and work with a global team including employees, contractors and customers
  • Excellent communication, negotiating, and closing skills with all levels of the organization
  • Has clear written and oral communication skills to relay business requirements and detailed execution plans
  • Collaborate well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sources
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Possess a strong sense of ownership for achieving results
  • Passionate and inquisitive approach to the technology-driven world
  • Passionate about metrics and top performing applications
  • Prior experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills, the ability to accurately analyze information, and make sound decisions
  • Experience interacting with business and technical teams to develop requirements & designs
  • Experience in interacting and coordinating with vendors including offshore model project execution
