Job Purpose:


We are seeking an energetic, self-starter willing to take on a challenge!  The team will deliver a 3 to 5 year enterprise wide, global AML transformation program. The Manager Development be responsible in the design, coding, testing, and delivery of solutions benefiting the Global AML unit.


Key Accountabilities:


  • Provide functional, technical and process leadership for team(s) delivering on given initiatives.
  • Responsible for assembling project plans and teamwork assignments, directing and monitoring work efforts on a daily basis, identifying resource needs, performing quality review; and escalating functional, quality, timeline issues appropriately.
  • Operationalizes technical and managerial processes and supervises the development and maintenance of business support systems.
  • Coordinates communication with all areas of the enterprise that impacts the scope, budget, risk, and resources of the work effort being managed.
  • Leads a team of IT professionals (direct reports and contractors) and is responsible and accountable for reporting solution delivery.
  • Leads the team in the areas of scheduling, technical direction, future planning and standard development methodologies.
  • Negotiates IT project requirements (i.e. deadlines, budgets, resources, etc.).
  • Builds and maintains solid, professional working relationships with peers within the project management and business lines.
  • Meets scheduled milestones to ensure project/program objectives are met in a timely manner, has an in-depth knowledge of the principles, theories, practices and techniques for managing the activities related to planning, managing and implementing software solutions

  • Must be a creative, self starting, results oriented and highly motivated individual with very good analytical skills in order to apply this knowledge to independently resolve complex business problems
  • Proven interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills in order to build consensus and obtain cooperation from business users, development and senior management
  • A very good understanding of current IT practices, systems development techniques, including requirements specification and testing methodologies, real time analytical and formal modelling tools and keep current with rapidly changing technology.
  • Must be flexible to adapt to a dynamic environment, make quick and sound decisions under pressure.
  • Must be reliable, pro-active, results-oriented, customer-focused and attentive to details.   
  • Experience with relational databases, SQL queries, ETL technologies, and Hadoop enviroment


Education and Other Requirements:


  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 5 years of experience in a technical role
  • At least 5 years of experience with application and/or data design, architecture and development
  • At least 5 years experience managing and supporting the full life-cycle of IT development projects
  • At least 3 years of experience with relevant software technologies and languages
  • At least 2 years of experience with Agile development methodologies
  • At least 2 years of experience working in financial services industries
  • At least 2 years of experience with onshore and offshore models
