POSITION OVERVIEW

 

Successful candidate will work on a Milling crew for the cleanup required to complete the job. Included job duties are as follows: physical labor in streets, parking lots and highways by operating one or several types of hand tools.

 

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

  • Must partner with crew members per plan specifications, and if need be, perform tasks as instructed by crew foreman to ensure daily schedules/estimates are met.
  • Usage of various handheld tools.
  • Manual labor including, hammering and shoveling.
  • Physical ability to shovel and rake concrete asphalt, stone and dirt.
  • Physical ability to set traffic closures, signage and cones.
  • Ability to work in a team setting.
  • Must have strong work ethic.
  • Attitude/cooperation: always maintain courteous and professional manner with co-workers, customers, and the general public.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • High school diploma

 

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT

 

Employees are required to wear personal protective equipment in designated operations and construction areas as outlined by OSHA and state agencies.  Protective equipment that may be required, but not limited to, for this position:  Hardhat, safety glasses, reinforced toed shoes, hand protection, safety vest/high visibility clothing for any work in the field.
