Project Manager NT - Transportation

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Create cohesive project programs and plans with identifiable critical paths, task dependencies, risk and issue mitigation processes, and major milestones; manage the approved plans and schedules, ensuring successful completion within scope, budget, time, and quality parameters
  • Develop project plans for transportation projects that include one or more of the following components: analyzing transportation pricing; Truckload, LTL, Parcel, Air, and Ocean solutions; value proposition calculation; proposal development; presentation of the overall solution for the customer
  • Provide project leadership in the execution of projects to both internal departments and external clients; give work direction to the project team and communicate project requirements to both internal and external organizations
  • Act as liaison between functional groups within XPO and clients during implementation or program change; ensure clear lines of communication between all teams
  • Apply comprehensive technical knowledge and management experience to analyze and resolve complex work problems; design and implement solutions as needed
  • Build strong relationships with senior leadership through effective communication and collaborate to support company goals
  • Develop presentations to demonstrate solution components and value proposition to customers

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education
  • 5 years of experience in project management
  • 3 years of experience in transportation-related solution development projects
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with standardized TMS implementation methodology (e.g., Assess/Build/Learn/Execute)
  • Business process focus and experience mapping process flows, including how transportation impacts overall supply chain operations
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends; occasional travel

  • Self-motivated and able to work well with minimal supervision or in a team environment; consult with team members and management as needed
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present clean, organized, and thorough information and data approriate for intended audience
