Services Technician

As a Remote Hands Technician you’ll have the opportunity to provide demand support of our clients data center infrastructure which include some of the largest companies in the United States.

 

What you’ll do at Insight:

 

  • You’ll be responsible for welcoming and escorting of pre-approved and scheduled Vendor or Visitor to Data Center Equipment
  • Perform physical hardware examination, the recording of any external error/status indicators which may help in diagnosing and resolving equipment issues.
  • Assist with checking network connectivity which includes but not limited to; checking network connection activity lights, firewall status lights and physical port availability on any Data Center device
  • Be responsible for properly inspecting and replacing defective networking cables and also the removing, inspecting and reseating power cables.

     

What you’ll need to join Insight:

 

  • 3 minimum year experience in a Data Center Environment.
  • Strong Customer Service Skills
  • Basic understanding of Hardware and Cabling within a Data Center environment .
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general technical procedures and regulations.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Applications

  • Meet the minimum qualifications and requirements of the position;
  • Have completed twelve (12) months service in their current position; six (6) months of service in warehouse roles;
  • Not be under a disciplinary evaluation or suspension period;
  • Have satisfactory performance in their current position;
  • Have their current manager/supervisor recommendation
