We are a growing team, seeking a talented recent graduate who is likely a Mechanical Engineer with programming skills. You will be responsible for optimizing existing macros and developing new integrated programs and algorithms. These programs will efficiently translate designers’ CAD data into machine code for assembling microcircuits. Your programs will interface with automated epoxy dispense, component placement and wire bonding machines. You will get input from senior Process Engineers to understand the working systems and logics of these machines, as well as the requirements and limitations of each process. Concurrently, you will have the freedom and flexibility to devise and propose any creative solution. To strive in this position, you will need a strong mechanical background and a hands-on approach to problem solving, as well as the ability to interact with mechanical and electronic designers, manufacturing engineers, technicians and customers across functions.


The Precision InterConnect Organization serves Keysight’s Electronic Industrial Solutions Group, Communications Solutions Group and Keysight Labs. Together we provide RF, microwave, mmWave and 5G Test and Measurement solutions to customers in the communications, aerospace & defense, automotive & energy, general electronics, manufacturing, and semiconductor industries.


Other responsibilities may include:

  • Develop metallic and non-metallic joining techniques: solder, epoxy and eutectic die attach
  • Develop gold wire, ribbon, Flip Chip, or mesh bonding processes
  • Perform manufacturing experiments; Interpret, analyze, and report results
  • Design tooling for assembly processes and products using Creo 3D
  • Write and maintain procedure documentation
  • Specify, select and qualify new equipment
  • Support prototyping, test reliability of prototypes and manage the transition into production
  • Evaluate critical suppliers and their materials to ensure they meet requirements
  • Analyze nonconforming components or assemblies and provide corrective action solutions
  • Occasional travel, less than 10%



Job Qualifications

  • BS or MS in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or other related fields, with strong programming skills and a hands-on approach.
  • A proactive and flexible team player who can work with large and diverse groups
  • Demonstrated track record of learning new concepts and theories
  • Demonstrated leadership and ownership
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
