Position Summary:

This is a journey level position requiring the knowledge and the skills necessary to perform complex First Article / R & D Sample inspection assignments with little or no supervision.  In addition to performing all duties expected of the Inspector Tech I and II classifications, this position maintains an ongoing contact with multiple product suppliers in order to communicate product variations and non-conformities.  Employee shall have mastered all Hand Tools, Gages and complex Measuring Equipment related to Inspection. Knowledge of CMM is required.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for adhering to and enforcing all company policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for performing all of the following duties in accordance with Wilden ISO 9001 Quality Procedures.
  • Responsible for performing routine inspections on all procured parts / materials in accordance with Integrity Procedures.
  • Responsible for performing 100% First Article Inspections on newly developed or modified products.
  • Responsible for reporting First Article Inspection data to appropriate Engineering Personnel, also conducting periodic follow up in order to ensure production release in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for assisting the CAD Dept. with dimensional evaluation of components. (When assigned)
  • Assists in the assessment of all non-standard materials, in house and procured items. (When assigned)
  • Works with suppliers to evaluate discrepant materials and correct manufacturing problems.
  • Assists supervision in the training and proficiency of all Product Integrity Department personnel, both existing and new hires.
  • Responsible for performing all duties required of “Inspector Technician I and II”.
  • Capable of performing minimal calibration of tools, when required.
  • Assist in sustaining desired inventory levels and support production requirements.
  • Performs all other duties assigned by Supervision.
  • Must demonstrate commitment to safety & continual improvement of OH&S performance, registered standards, company policy, integrity, ethics and legal compliance.
