CN III/IV Non - Invasive Cardiodiagnotics

Responsibilities

The Clinical Nurse III/IV oversees the non-invasive Cardiodiagnostic tests provided in the Adult Non-invasive lab. These tests include stress testing, stress echo, Dobutamine stress, Cardio-pulmonary testing and TEEs. The Clinical Nurse III/IV works closely with the lab and echo techs to coordinate tests. Other duties include, administering echo contrast (Definity), taking vital signs, monitoring EKGs during tests, interpreting and processing EKGs.

Qualifications

BSN required, MSN preferred. CA RN license, BLS and ACLS required.
5 years or greater of CCU or Cardiology step-down experience required.
CCRN or PCCN certification desired.
EKG interpretation and conscious sedation experience required. Experience with Stress Testing preferred.
Ability to complete a Nursing physical assessment
Skill in developing a plan of care including setting goals, monitoring and documenting progress
Ability to implement interventions that are pertinent to goals established in the plan of care Ability to evaluate the effective of interventions toward the attainment of established goals and to recognize the need to reassess or reset goal parameters
Ability to delegate tasks in a management style that is consistent with promoting leadership and teamwork Knowledge base to provide education to patients, families, and other staff regarding clinical and patient care issues.
CNIII - 5 years of CCU or Cardiology Experience
CNIV- 5 years or greater of CCU/Cardiology experience and a clinical expert in Stress Testing. MSN preferred
