Additional Work Location(s) ​​​​​:  

Under general supervision the candidate will be responsible for pre and post sales support, as well as troubleshooting and maintenance of digital consoles used in professional audio applications. The candidate will provide technical sales support, be responsible for demo equipment handling and configuration, sales and support administration including telephone and email support to field support personnel, sales personnel, dealers, representatives and end users.  There may be the requirement for occasional field support.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not have any direct or indirect reports.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Process and check returned console demonstration equipment
  • Configure consoles and equipment to meet the needs of various demonstration requirements
  • Process Studer/Soundcraft specific credit and RA returns
  • Coordinate with warehouse and parts administration to support field staff with parts requirements
  • Perform, when required, quality control inspections of incoming consoles to ensure that product meets manufacturers’ specifications and functionality before delivery to customers.
  • Create fault analysis reports to feedback potential quality problems to the manufacturing.
  • Perform software and hardware upgrades as recommended by HQ CSD and R&D
  • Provide telephone and field support when necessary
  • Perform emergency telephone or field support at short notice, under time critical situations.  These may be incurred outside of normal business hours.


Basic Qualifications:  

  • AS Degree with related work experience.
  • Must possess strong theoretical and practical knowledge of electronics and be able to troubleshoot to board level analog and digital circuits.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be detail oriented and well organized.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work as an individual, whilst being a team player that enjoys working within a small group, meeting customer demands.


Preferred Qualifications & Desired Competencies:  


  • BS degree in a technical field (electrical or software) is preferred
  • Knowledge of Sound Reinforcement, Installed Sound and Contracting is an advantage.
  • Training will be provided, however a good level of experience in Broadcast Audio or the Live Production Sound industry is required.
