Function Overview

Independent Retail: The Inside Sales Representative Responsible for the sales and development of high potential Trade Customers with a territory of 70-80 accounts and a quota of $10-$15 million. This person will provide world-class sales experience, marketplace insights, merchandising assistance, and new business opportunities within the assigned market.

 

Contract:  Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for the contract sales and development of large, high potential Trade Customers with a territory of 50-100 accounts and a quota of $10-$15 million.  This person will prospect for new business in the property management & apartment distribution segments. Other duties include maintaining a current customer base, tracking leads, and proactively selling to ensure high-quality sales experiences for our Whirlpool Trade Customers.

 

Job Responsibilities

Independent Retail Sales

  • Develop and drive a 'plan to sell' to grow margin, revenue, and share with assigned trade partners
  • Create strategic opportunities for buy-in and sell through activities
  • Ensure only the highest quality sales experience for our Whirlpool Trade Customers
  • Maintain current customer base, tracking leads, and proactively selling to ensure high-quality sales experiences for our Whirlpool Trade Customers
  • Provide insight driven selling techniques
  • Contribute to sales team success by gathering and sharing market and competitive information
  • Work independently and in a team environment
  • Earn an incentive bonus based on performance

Contract Sales

  • Prospect for new business in the property management & apartment distribution segments
  • Develop a direct to indirect sales strategy to maintain cost to serve
  • Utilize all lead resources to build your customer pipeline
  • Negotiate pricing and freight terms
  • Maintain current customer base, tracking leads, and proactively selling to ensure high-quality sales experiences for our Whirlpool Trade Customers
  • Provide insight driven selling techniques
  • Contribute to sales team success by gathering and sharing market and competitive information
  • Work independently and in a team environment
  • Earn an incentive bonus based on performance to quota

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of sales experience
  • Excellent negotiation, persuasion and relationship building skills
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to travel, work overtime and handle pressure and deadlines
  • PC Skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Google)
  • Bachelor’s degree required

 

Preferred Requirements

  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills
  • Ability to relocate for promotion opportunities within 18 to 24 months
