Job Summary

The IT Business Solutions Manager will join a growing information technology team that is delivering innovative solutions to support Dorman Product’s significant business growth plans within the rapidly changing automotive industry.  We are looking for a professional with significant experience in leading technology solution programs for customer service and sales.  This role will act as the principal technology advisor to our sales and customer service organization and a champion for identifying, leading and driving information technology transformation. This role will have IT strategy and delivery responsibility for all key business processes in these areas including customer relationship management, order management, pricing administration, sales pipeline management, salesforce enablement, sales operations and marketing. 


Responsibilities and Duties/Essential Duties


  • Develop deep knowledge of Dorman’s customer service and sales processes and build trusting relationships with business partners.
  • Coach business partners and enable them to articulate the technology needs and requirements in their function that will improve business performance.
  • Partner with business unit or function leaders on building business and IT capability roadmaps.
  • Partner with business and IT leaders to evaluate proposals, build business cases, and plan new joint initiatives, and determine how they fit into business and IT capability roadmaps and priorities.   
  • Ensure delivery of new technology solutions and capabilities in accordance with the defined roadmap and ensure that they meet established objectives and expectations of business partners.
  • Partner with enterprise architects to develop technology enablement plans aligned with the identified roadmap
  • Partner with business analysts to ensure that essential business requirements are understood, captured, and reflected in solution documentation.
  • Ensure that project managers and IT staff assigned to projects are knowledgeable about the business unit or function, business partner(s), and their objectives.
  • Partner with business leaders to ensure that the business unit or function has the capacity and capabilities to implement changes required by new technology solutions.
  • Bring outside and fresh perspectives into the organization by routinely meeting with end customers/consumers, industry peers, and other external sources.
  • Proactively identify business capability and IT service gaps and contribute to improvement efforts.

  • Highly skilled at creating business requirements documents, as is and to be process maps, user acceptance test and change plans.
  • Demonstrated acumen and passion for business and technology.


Required Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree and 7 to 10 years of relevant professional experience
  • Held previous business relationship manager or project delivery ownership for customer service, sales, and marketing.
  • Deep experience supporting technology solutions for a call center environment and related end to end order to cash transaction processes.
  • Prior experience implementing CRM (Sales, Service, and Marketing) is desired but not required.
  • Prior experience implementing pricing administration and optimization tools desired but not required.
  • Background in larger enterprise IT solutions including SAP, Hyperion,, SuccessFactors, Qlik, Business Objects is a plus but not required.
