Facility Engineer  -  BWX Technologies, Inc.  -  Euclid, OH

 

Coordinates and directs the design, planning, construction, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, utilities, and other facilities.

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Engineer and implement facility safety systems to satisfy regulatory and BWXT requirements.
  • Develop facility-wide cost saving solutions by reducing energy consumption, automation, etc.
  • Plan, budget, and schedule facility modifications, including cost estimates, bid sheets, layouts, and drawings.
  • Coordinate facility preventative maintenance NDE program for hydroclave test systems.
  • Coordinate the capital equipment program, including ROI justification, contractor quotes, product selection, and implementation.
  • Act as a liasion to public utility, environmental, and energy agencies.
  • Oversee construction, installation, and maintenance activity within the facility to ensure conformance to established specifications.

 

Job Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering/Technology, or equivalent (Mechanical/Electrical Engineering).
  • Minimum five (5) years experience within the Industrial Engineering discipline is preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE-L security clearance.
  • Must be capable of performing assigned tasks from ladders and raised platforms.
  • Experience with ASME pressure vessel and power piping system construction is preferred.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD and/or Pro-Engineer design software.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) credential is preferred.

 

Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or matter. Position requires U.S. Citizenship (with no dual citizenship) and ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance which involves an extensive criminal and financial background investigation, drug test and previous employment reference verifications.
