Job Description

Role and Purpose:

Plan, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive program of guidance, including counseling services to school assigned. Use a planning process to define needs and priorities of population served. Provide a proactive, developmental guidance program for all students to maximize personal growth and development.

Qualifications:

1. Master's Degree in guidance and counseling. Valid Texas Counselor's certificate.
2. Special Knowledge/Skills:
1. Knowledge of counseling procedures, student appraisal, and career development.
2. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
3. Three years teaching experience as a classroom teacher.

Application Steps:

1. Complete the web based Electronic Application.
2. Provide a copy of H.S. Diploma or College Transcripts.
3. If applicable, provide a copy of a valid Texas Educator Certificate.
4. Provide proof of Identity (Driver's License, Birth Certificate, Passport or other Federal Documents).
5. Print, complete, sign and return in person or via mail the DPS Computerized Criminal History (CCH) Verification Form (See "CCH Verification Form" on "employee quick forms" page) to: N-S CISD Human Resources Dept. P.O. Box 400, Nixon TX 78140.
6. Complete Sexual harassment class instruction (Provided prior to employment by N-S CISD staff).
7. All candidates must pass a fingerprint based (biometric) background check.
