Business Director at Hays Recruiting Experts in Procurement, Purchasing & Contracts
This global resources company is currently going through an exciting period of growth. As such, they have a brand-new opportunity for a Contracts Advisor to join their projects team.
Key duties would include:
- Tendering, negotiation & implementation of low to medium value contracts
- Application of sound commercial judgement around the application of contractual terms and conditions
- Provide commercial and contractual support to the business and effectively deliver value for the nominated categories through competitive sourcing and contract management
- Lead negotiations with vendors and provide ongoing contract management up to and including close out
- Manage Supplier Relationship Management while working collaboratively with projects and cross-functional stakeholders
- Contract life-cycle support for all contractual and commercial activities and develop well-defined category and sourcing strategies
Qualifications and Skills required:
- Previous experience of contract administration for major mining projects
- Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of category strategies delivering value for business
- Strong skills in analysing tender submissions and making recommendations for awards
- Ability to influence with credibility, able to encourage buy-in and commitment at all levels
- Strong written skills (e.g., drafting concise award recommendations, drafting contract conditions, drafting contract correspondence and variations)
- Exceptional computer literacy with the ability to use multiple systems
This role is based in Perth CBD and offers 2–3 days working from home.
