RZ Resources is a 100% Australian-owned, responsible mining company focused on mining and producing critical minerals and rare earths in the far south western corner of New South Wales.

An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Geologist to join our Wentworth team, reporting to the Lead Exploration Geologist.

Since its incorporation in 2012, RZ Resources has a portfolio of 17 tenements, including the flagship Copi Mine Project. Four more tenements are under application for an exploration area totaling 6,403 km2.

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and capable Exploration Geologist to join our team at RZ Resources, where you’ll play a critical role in planning and executing exploration programs, managing tenement obligations, and driving project development.

Based in Wentworth, NSW, this is a residential Drive-In, Drive-Out (DIDO) position on a 4:3 roster. Whether you prefer a relaxed country lifestyle or the convenience of nearby Mildura, you’ll enjoy a region with excellent schools, healthcare, and community facilities.

Supervise drilling operations and oversee field technicians and contractors

Conduct geological logging, sampling, and field activities

Manage and maintain exploration databases, including QA/QC processes

Assist in planning and reporting on exploration and drilling programs

Interpret and review geochemical and analytical data

Build and refine geological models for active and prospective projects

Generate new targets through research, data analysis, and tenement reviews

Ensure all exploration activities meet regulatory and safety compliance standards

Prepare annual and relinquishment reports for tenement management

Deliver accurate data and insights for resource modelling and reporting

Successful applicant should possess the following:

Tertiary qualification in Geology or Geoscience (Bachelor’s with Honours or higher)

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar exploration role

Exposure to tenement management and regulatory reporting (preferred)

Familiarity with mineral sands geology (highly desirable)

Proficient in GIS software (QGIS, ArcGIS Pro or similar)

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

A collaborative, honest, and proactive team member
