Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing projects from conception to completion, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The Project Engineer will work closely with other team members, including project managers, engineers, and technicians, to ensure that all project objectives are met.

Responsibilities
- Review and approve engineering drawings, reports, and calculations, ensuring compliance with Australian standards.
- Develop electrical designs for solar farms and BESS, including diagrams, layouts, cable sizing, and equipment selection.
- Support procurement by preparing technical specifications and evaluating supplier proposals.
- Assist subcontracted consultants in developing detailed designs and verifying deliverables.
- Contribute to early-stage tendering by evaluating technical feasibility and developing preliminary designs.
- Provide engineering support during construction and commissioning, resolving issues and conducting site visits.
- Review test results and ensure proper commissioning of electrical systems, maintaining records.
- Ensure designs comply with Australian Standards, Grid Codes, and project specifications.
- Identify and mitigate design and procurement risks to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and suppliers to align electrical engineering efforts.
- Lead by example to promote high technical standards within the team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in project engineering or similar roles.
- 3-5 years of experience with large-scale solar farms, BESS, or power projects.
- Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in teams.
- Experience with project management tools and software.
