About the Opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Learning & Development Lead to join our L&D Team. In this pivotal role, you will design, develop, and deliver innovative learning programs that enhance the skills and capabilities of our workforce. You will collaborate with various departments to ensure our training initiatives align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements, driving continuous improvement in a highly regulated and technically complex environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and continuous improvement of training programs to meet organizational needs and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with department heads and HR team members to align training programs with organizational goals.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and implement improvements based on feedback and best practices.
  • Navigate stakeholder management complexities, ensuring alignment and buy-in from diverse groups, including engineers, technicians, and administrative staff.
  • Utilize learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning tools to enhance training delivery and accessibility.

About You

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in learning and development, preferably within the defence or manufacturing sectors.
  • Qualifications in Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a Certificate IV or higher- level qualification in adult learning, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven experience in designing and delivering training programs.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.
  • Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning tools.
  • Knowledge of defence industry regulations and standards is an advantage.
  • Ability to inspire and guide individuals and teams in a learning environment.
  • Creativity in developing engaging and effective training programs.
  • Strong skills in assessing training needs and evaluating program effectiveness.
  • Flexibility to adjust training programs to meet changing organizational needs.
  • Clear and effective communication skills to convey information and expectations.

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
