Job Description:

This engineer will be responsible for the development of the analog control and digital interfaces for RF and microwave products targeting Cellular Handset/wireless/LoT/Infrastructure markets.

Responsibilities include transistor level analog and circuits design based on system requirement, IC layout supervision, IC lab test and debug. Ideal Candidate must be able to work efficiently in a fast pace wireless handset/infrastructure markets, understand the importance of on time to market in the meantime face the challenge tasks to meet critical performance parameters.

 

Job Requirements:

  • BS Degree and 3+ years’ experience required, MSEE or Ph.D. preferred, in the area of IC analog/mixed signal design.
  • Expertise on transistor level Analog and digital logic IC design experience using CMOS, BiCMOS or SOI processes.
  • Experience designing the following analog blocks: bandgap, regulator, charge-pumps, ADC, DAC, temp sensor, comparator, active filters, oscillator, custom logic.
  • Responsible to translate system level specs onto the circuit block level performance spec, circuit architecture, design and development to meet the system level specs.
  • Design tradeoff on performance, risk, yield, testability and cost.
  • Must have a thorough understanding of analog design theory, loop stability analysis, device physics.
  • Layout floorplan to optimum performance, layout supervision, post layout simulations.
  • Experienced in implementing on chip ESD protection strategies.
  • Proficient with Cadence ADE system, experience with ADS or other RF simulation tools is a plus.
  • Ability to manage the assigned project with minimum supervision.
  • Strong Lab experience to performance IC characteristic and debugging.
  • Understand of IC process and its effect on circuit performance.
  • Excellent Oral and written communication skill
  • Team player with a strong sense of urgency to meet product requirements on schedule.
  • Ideal candidate must be able to work efficiently in a team environment, goal oriented, fast paced wireless/handset/infrastructure markets

 

The following qualifications are desirable but not required

  • Design experience with different digital interface including SPI, MIPI, I^2C
  • Experience with digital design flow (VHDL coding, RTL synthesis, logic simulation, place and route)
  • Exposed to RF design and lab test experience including switches, LNA, etc.
