MARKETING AUTOMATION MANAGER 

The Membership Analytics Team is BJ’s internal advanced analytics consultancy. The Team is responsible for a wide range of analysis in support of BJ’s efforts to strengthen member loyalty, improve retention, acquire high quality members and increase member lifetime value. The Manager, Marketing Automation will be responsible for a team of analysts responsible for end-to-end marketing campaign execution and partnering with Business Stakeholders to help optimize marketing strategies across multiple channels.

  • Ensure on-time delivery by managing program schedules, from campaign design to measurement
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to define campaign audience requirements, program specifications and business requirements
  • Create ROI models to assess reasonability of proposed campaigns
  • Execute complex marketing campaigns (direct mail/email) which activate a variety of segmentation schemas
  • In conjunction with the Data Science Team, determine KPIs and build test plans to measure incremental lift associated with marketing efforts
  • Partner with the Data Science Team on model application and refinement based on actual performance
  • Review and audit campaign processes to identify potential issues/errors
  • Post campaign, communicate to senior executives results in a clear and concise manner
  • Influence the business based on fact-based knowledge of marketing effectiveness
  • Respond to additional engagement and acquisition analytics requests 

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of CRM software (e.g. Unica, SAS, Oracle / Siebel, Epiphany)
  • 5+ years of experience in project management and database marketing; retail industry experience a plus
  • Expertise with at least one data/analytics programming language (e.g. SQL/SAS/R/Python)
  • Strong analytic and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes
  • Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Marketing and/or Business or the equivalent combination of education and experience; Master’s Degree preferred
