Graphic Designer (Contract role - 1 year)


The graphic designer’s key accountabilities is to take the global direction for our major adidas brand stories and turn them into mechanical creative files to help execute all marketing programs. They will be focused on building creative concept development to help bring brand/retail experience to life. In partnership with managers, visual leaders they will help maximize the brand presence to create meaningful moments that resonate in the retail channel through the use of physical and digital content creation.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Design and develop print/digital ready files for own retail store concepts to delivery various marketing initiatives including but not limited print files, and digital media assets.
  • Adapt global design concept to build local window executions for all product campaigns in key adidas store locations using 3D materials, 2D print substrates and digital banners.
  • Design and prepare finished art for in store communication materials including launch zone collaterals, apparel & footwear shelf signage, POS/POP signage and promotional sale tags.
  • Ensure consistency of brand standards and graphic guidelines in all creative collaterals.
  • Design and develop finished art for all marketing collaterals for retail including print/digital flyers, posters, social media ads, digital ad banners, and OOH media print files.
  • Establish productive relationships with global, NAM and brand graphic designers to leverage tools and resources.
  • Develop creative concept ideas for new store development projects, ad-hoc on of a kind localizes dwell spaces to ensure brand consistency and local art influence is balanced.
  • Create 3D renderings for key window display roll out, SIS development to ensure creative vision is aligned across all marketing/visual managers.
  • Provide creative direction as needed for locally developed projects which includes but not limited to brand experience campaigns, activations/events, and SIS build outs.
  • Provide support to the retail marketing department on ad-hoc projects as required.


Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • A passion for sport coupled with adept creative sensibilities.
  • 2-4 years post-graduate work experience in an established creative and/or studio environment.
  • Extensive knowledge and working experience of Adobe Creative Cloud programs: Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
  • Exemplary organizational and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to details and ability to design under quick turnaround.
  • Extensive graphic design and page layout skills.
  • Experience manipulating digital photography, lighting and colour-correction (product and model shots). 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver against strict deadlines.
  • Ability to edit and produce in JPG, PNG, AI, PSD, INDD, PDF, TIFF file format is a must.
  • Ability to prepare print-ready files for production is a must.
  • Familiarity with Autocad and FTP sites are considered strong assets.
  • Knowledge in French is an asset
  • Knowledge in videography and video editing will be an asset.



  • Graduate degree from a leading art college and/or university graphic design related program.
  • 2- 4 years working experience in a brand/retail marketing development
  • Certificate in Adobe Creative Cloud programs is a must.
  • Certificate in Cinema 4D, CAD will be an asset. 
  • Ability to travel 5% of the year
