The Retail National Account Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining strong customer relationships, offering outstanding customer service, successfully selling Libbey marketing programs, products and promotions in the retail channel and achieving established sales goals.

  • Overall planning to drive sales growth and profit optimization in the retail channel
  • Grow business with existing customers, and develop new business through successful prospecting strategies
  • Collaborate with the Director of Retail Sales on alignment of account planning strategy and goals
  • Develop collaborative customer relationships and regularly work with buyers/stakeholders
  • Leverage Libbey’s pricing, inventory and new item development systems
  • Partner with forecasters/planners for efficient production planning and customer service
  • Conduct market research and analysis to understand customer needs and identify opportunities for new business
  • Utilize Libbey’s prospecting tools and systems
  • Design effective sales tools including presentations, samples, reports, etc.
  • Think outside the box to develop compelling product solutions for customers
  • Work cohesively with internal teams to communicate customer requirements and opportunities (product and service opportunities, special developments, competitive information, or feedback gathered through field activity)
  • Lead and/or play an active role in sales, and occasionally non-sales related, projects
  • Attend Libbey sales & business meetings, training events and industry trade shows (including Chicago International Housewares Show and New York Tabletop Spring & Fall shows)

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree highly preferred, or equivalent work experience
  • Work requires travel to current/prospective customers, trade shows and Libbey events or training, which requires a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Proven sales background working with retail customers; tabletop or housewares experience preferred
  • Ability to collaborate with, and influence others
  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organization skills
  • Must maintain a professional appearance and portray a positive company image
