Financial Consultant

Job Location: United States : Rhode Island : Warwick, RI  


Role Value Proposition: 

This role uses data to project future short- and long-term results based on anticipated business and marketplace scenarios. Performs a variety of financial studies to analyze and report interrelationships of financial information.  Determines validity of data and assumptions and provides supporting explanations of conclusions reached.  May support financial analysis/reporting and the integrity of financial data by developing financial systems infrastructure or by providing technical support in the production of reports/analyses.     


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and communicate monthly financial projections based on MetLife Auto & Home objectives and strategies.
  • Develop and distribute financial analyses, reports and/or packages to P&C business partners and MetLife Finance partners in an accurate and timely fashion.  
  • Provide decision support through analyses, projections and model development.
  • Conduct financial deep dives on key financial results for the Property & Casualty organization.
  • Coordinate responses to various ad-hoc requests for analyses and questions from business and finance partners, and when appropriate formulate recommendations based on findings.
  • Responsible for synthesizing information to influence business decisions and for understanding the business and developing recommendations to tie the financial results to overall business strategies and operational plans.


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

  • Detail oriented problem solver.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel, and Access.
  • Ability to quickly learn and utilize new systems/tools.
  • Ability to work independently or as a part of a team.
  • Demonstrated analytical and time management skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and comfortable presenting to leadership.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.



  • 5+ years of experience
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Strong Communication Skills



  • BA/BS in Finance, Accounting
  • Financial analysis experience
  • Financial projection and model building experience
