Welder III Experienced Second Shift

Chart's manufacturing group is critical to building our products on time and of the highest quality to our customers. The Welder III will work towards our production goals along with peers through the direction of lead man, shift supervisor, and plant manager. 


What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…

  • Reads and interprets written welding procedures as applicable.
  • Can safely operate overhead or jib type cranes and rigging.
  • Reads and interprets applicable drawings.
  • Able to perform fit-up per applicable drawings.
  • Trains or assists in training other employees.
  • Qualified per ASME Section IX in the following processes:
  • GMAW / FCAW welding in out of position (1G, 2G, 3G or 6G) with the appropriate additional ASME Appendix 28 qualifications and SMAW and/or GTAW welding in out of position (1G, 2G, 3G or 6G) or SAW demonstrates a high level of proficiency with the appropriate additional ASME Appendix 28 qualifications.
  • Performs excavation, joint re-configuration, preparation and weld repair as needed
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Your Professional Experience Should Be…

  • The ability to reading a tape measure as well as blue prints.


Your Education Should Be…

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Work Experience


Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…

  • Must be able to remain standing for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be able to do occasional repetitive lifting up to 60lbs as regular daily activities necessitate.
