As a Sr. Finance Analyst at E. & J. Gallo Winery, you will be responsible for researching and providing financial and business related analyses to assess the impact of various projects, trends, systems, capital projects and transactions.

What You Will Do

Problem Solving:

  • Evaluate topics such as cost, capacity, staffing, facility utilization – you will need to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid and timely conclusions.  Experience interpreting an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and dealing with several abstract and concrete variables related to the wine business
  • Provide leadership to direct reports and guidance as needed
  • Be able to prioritize high visibility projects assigned to you by members of Senior Leadership spanning different areas of the business, potentially broad in nature, usually requiring originality and ingenuity to solve

Analyze The Business:

  • Leverage team and experience to provide best in class results
  • Drive insight to Operational processes to increase capacity and recommend capital investments
  • Analyze current issues in the business related to spend versus historical and planned figures and provide timely and insightful recaps to Business Unit management 

What You Need

  • MBA plus 2 years of Finance, Accounting, Military, Operations, Business or wine industry experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; or Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of Finance or Accounting experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; or Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years Gallo Finance experience
  • Intermediate level skills in MS Excel

What Will Set You Apart

  • MBA plus 5 years of Finance, Accounting, Military, Operations, Business or wine industry experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility - OR- a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance plus 8 years Accounting or Finance experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Cost Accounting or Manufacturing experience
  • JD Edwards Experience
