WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (Job Overview):

The Training Services Summer Internship Program offers undergraduate and graduate students an opportunity to gain work experience in a non-profit organization. During the 10-week program, students receive training and develop their skills and knowledge under the guidance of experienced professionals. The 2024 Summer Internship program will run from May 29, 2024, through August 2, 2024.

The Business Planning and Operations Intern will be responsible for a pricing research project and a community learner analysis. They will also assist with analysis on product mix trends, impact of price moves over time and an analysis on marketing/sales touch points.

WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE FOR GOOD (Key Responsibilities):

  • Collect and analyze data on Training Services products from internal and external sources.
  • Assist with evaluating pricing factors such as competitive landscape, pricing elasticity and demand trends and developing pricing recommendations to align with strategic business objectives.
  • Collect and analyze community learner data to determine opportunities for targeting companies/industries.
  • Support unit with research on product mix trends.
  • Collect, analyze data, present facts, and recommend solutions.
  • Assist with the development of reports and other informational materials presented to management.

The compensation for this internship is $20.00 hour. Must travel to NJ & D.C. before the internship ends.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum Qualifications):
  • Education: High School or equivalent required. Internship is typically part of an undergraduate program which requires some university credit hours. Undergraduate Junior/Senior preferred. Candidate pursuing Finance, Business Administration, Business Management, Economics or other similar degree preferred.
  • Experience: Up to 1 year of related experience
  • Skills & Abilities:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel). Moderate knowledge and skill with Excel a must.
  • Ability to research and analyze data to identify trends.
  • Ability to work on a team.
  • Travel: Ability to travel to attend in person meetings 10-20%.
  • A current, valid driver's license with good driving record isrequired.
