Job DescriptionSummary
Under general supervision, performs accounting clerical duties including maintenance of records.

Sufficient education, training, and/or work experience to demonstrate the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Knowledge of basic arithmetic, bookkeeping and accounting principles; office procedures and practices.
- Ability to work continuously and accurately with figures; perform arithmetic operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division; accurately compare and transcribe figures.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions; communicate effectively.
- Ability to utilize automated data processing systems; operate office machines; prepare and adjust journal entries.
- Ability to maintain physical condition appropriate to the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities which may include sitting for extended periods of time and operating assigned office equipment.
- Ability to communicate with others and to assimilate and understand information, in a manner consistent with the essential job functions.
- Ability to operate assigned equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Handles data entry for Accounts Payable.
- Assists in handling cash disbursement transactions.
- Reconciliation of vendor accounts
- Reconciliation of accounts payable clearing accounts
- Vendor relations
- Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance with established company policies to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
- Fosters a cooperative and harmonious working climate conducive to maximum employee morale and productivity. Consistently and constructively projects the quality philosophy and vision of the company.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience
- Previous Accounting experience and/or education desired
- HS Diploma or Equivalent
Communication Skills
- Ability to communicate with others and to assimilate and understand information, in a manner consistent with the essential job functions.
Computer Skills
- MS Operating Systems: Excel, Word
- Spreadsheet Experience
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this position the employee will be required to utilize the computer screen and keyboard, telephone and will need to bend and reach to file.
Work Environment
General office environment.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
- This is position is classified as full-time.
- Normal Days of work are Monday through Friday.
- Overtime may be required on occasion as needed.
