Job Description About The Role As a result of significant company growth, GPA is looking for an enthusiastic Legal Counsel / Contracts Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high performing and growing company to develop your skills to the next level. The position is Part Time (2-3 Days per week). Key Duties Reporting to the GPA’s Commercial & Contracting Lead, you will provide fast, accurate and commercially driven support and advice to GPA’s business, including the following: Identifying and mitigating contractual/commercial risks. Reviewing, drafting and negotiating a range of commercial contracts with both clients and suppliers. Managing contract amendments, variations, extensions and rates adjustments Providing guidance and advice to staff to ensure that contractual and legal requirements are adequately understood and communicated Researching and developing guidance for compliance with legislation/regulations effecting the business. Essential Qualifications and Skills Minimum of 4 years post-admission experience in private practice or a combination of in house legal and contract management with a minimum of 4 years contract management experience in a mid-large organisation. Strong analytical, contractual interpretation, legal drafting, negotiation and communication skills. Agile thinking, strong commercial skills and business acumen Proactive, organised, and an excellent problem-solver High attention to detail and excellent record keeping skills. Ability to work well both autonomously and collaboratively, as well as interact effectively with all career levels and departments. Desired Skills and Experience Desired Skills Bachelor’s Degree in Law and current Practicing Certificate preferred.  Experience drafting and negotiating contracts from a service provider’s perspective an advantage. Knowledge of engineering services and/or construction contracts an advantage. The perks!
