About The Role
As a Metal Detector Operator at Fresh To Go Foods, you will be an integral part of our team, dedicated to crafting high-quality, ready-made wraps and sandwiches. This is a Full Time position that offers a stable and friendly work environment.

What you’ll do

• Ensure all required products are passed through the metal detector.
• Complete all paperwork to record the times the product was run through and any rejects.
• Ensure each product is placed into a separate crate; no crates are to hold mixed products.
• Ensure the test pieces are passed through with product at the required frequencies and this is recorded on the Metal detector form.
• If there are any rejections, make sure they reject completely into the box and request the box is unlocked by QA or Production Supervisors to retrieve them.
• Follow the procedures in the Metal Detector SOP for corrective actions for weight or metal rejects.
• Inform QA if there are continuing issues with any products.
• Assist with training of new staff as required to show them how to pass the products through the metal detector.
• Ensure end of day clean down is carried out for the metal detector as specified.
• Inform QA or Team leader if any issues are spotted with products e.g. foreign objects.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the Production Worker role should have:

• Experience working in a food manufacturing facility ideally a high care facility.
• Experience in fast-paced food processing.
• Comfort working in a chiller environment and handling repetitive movements.
• A keen attention to detail.
• A commitment to quality and teamwork.
