Material Handler I: All Shifts, $18.00/hour base pay

Who we are looking for:

We are currently looking for a Material Handler to be based out of Pendleton, Oregon. Reporting to Shift Supervisor, the Material Handler will be responsible for packaging finished PVC pipe in proper crate quantities for shipment. The ideal candidate must be adaptable to changes in the work environment, comfortable with multiple competing demands and able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events in a calm and logical manner.

What you'll do:

Material Handler's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist with Quality Control duties.
  • Weigh and transport finished product.
  • Cut crate boards to proper lengths.
  • Perform cleanup for production and storage areas.
  • All other assigned duties

What you'll bring:

  • Ability to work in a safely and efficient manner in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to lift 75-100 pounds unassisted.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, time management and organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Within 3 months, you'll:

  • Complete any required training.
  • Be well-versed in Atkore's Business System and the importance of your role to daily operations.
  • You will be immersed into the Atkore Safety Culture.
